Target Parents Using Social Media – Should They or Shouldn’t They?

so true … and, I’d like to say I’ve personally experienced that the List of Conditions that an alienated child can give on “if” and “when” they will talk to you, the target parent, is infinite… it can have you jumping through hoops, so hopefully, to the sad realization that the reward never comes and never will, if left up to them while the alienating parent is not restrained. It’s a horrible, sad cycle that never ends without help, intervention.

  1. As a grandparent who’s been alienated from a grandson, I’ve experienced exactly this as well. There is an ever-changing set of “requirements” and, if fulfilled, produce no change. Then the rules of the game change accordingly.

Whatever we, as alienated parents/grandparents, feel would serve the child BEST over the course of years is what motivates us. It’s not easy to determine the BEST at all times, but at least it side-steps manipulative or intimidating threats.
